Maya autodesk / Substance painter / V-RAY

In this project I had to create a military weapon. I seeked for different guns and rifles and I decided to base my work on the M14 Blackfeather rifle.

I looked for references and I made an outline of the different pieces that the weapon is made, to understand how to face the modeling in Maya.

Once the reference images and sketches of the different pieces have been prepared, I started modeling.

I grouped the different pieces taking into account the materials, steel, plastic, rubber, etc and then, I textured it in Substance Painter. In the main body, I have used a pale color range that mimics a metallized coppery. 

Finally I render with V-RAY.
